So, how do I stay a “lean, mean, swimming machine” during the holidays?
Easy! Here’s how it works:
1.
Weigh in with Amy (of course, disclosure of
your actual weight is covered under trainer/client privilege). Or, if you prefer, she will measure your body fat
composition. The calipers are a humbling experience, but a very
effective measurement tool. You should do this by the second week of
November to set a base line.
2.
The goal is to maintain your current weight
until January 6th, at which time we will weigh in again.
Again, trainer/client privilege will apply; however, those of you who
accomplished the HOLDOVER will be recognized for your achievement—actual
numbers will remain confidential!
3.
To help you along the way, we will have three
different aerobic “fat buster” swims. Lanes will be assigned
according to pace. You will swim either 2,500 or 5,000 yards, by
100s, depending on your lane’s pace. There will be no early
starts and no overlaps (NO
exceptions!!!)—just swimming.
4.
The dates for the swims are as follows:
 |
Saturday, November 24th (two days after Thanksgiving)—the
Turkey Burner. Swim off that Thanksgiving excess.
|
 |
Saturday, December 15th
(also the date of Coach Ron’s Christmas Party—more on that later).
This is the Party Primer—burn the calories in the a.m. upon which you plan
to indulge in the p.m.
|
 |
Saturday, January 5th—the Auld Lang Syne to Lard; your last
chance to burn a few before the weigh-in next week. Happy New Year?

it for yourself...there aren't any prizes other than the big
